Summer Tree Therapy, 2801 Richmond Rd., # 230, Texarkana, TX 75503 ~ 940-228-4643
Summer Tree Therapy is owned by Laney Bassham - a Texas-based Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC #72941) who’s been helping individual adults since 2013. Are you stuck in problematic coping patterns due to ongoing anxiety, grief, traumatic stress, burnout &/or tough life transitions? Most stay stuck chasing symptoms and don’t realize they are living in the legacy of developmental or complex trauma.
We often know what we do isn’t working, but we don’t understand why we keep doing what we do. As a military kid transplanted into a rural area to then face tragic loss at a key developmental stage, I became “cool” on the outside but a mess on the inside. I didn’t need a therapist to only listen and reflect my feelings. I needed tools, insights and deeper healing.
My approach has formed from my own therapy experiences, ongoing study and professional practice. I seek to come alongside you with practical tools and education; encouragement to recognize your capability; and support in facing the challenges of change. My aim is to strengthen your resilience; shift distorted thoughts and toxic emotions; and help you embrace change with a fresh perspective, wisdom, and useful skills.
Every path to healing begins with an intake session to personalize and prepare your mind and body for the work ahead. Intensive therapy clients may engage in an additional pre session if needed to clarify your intentions and a follow-up/post session to help you integrate what you’ve gained. You’ll leave with practical strategies you can use right away and insights you’ll keep for life.
You’ve been stuck in old survival strategies for long enough. Let’s get started! Laney can be reached at: 940-228-4643
