Earth Day 2025 in New Boston is April 22. The Chamber, City of New Boston and SIDC & CDC are joining together for this great community event. The "Earth Day" commitment is celebrating 55 years of helping our global communities make our earth a safer and more friendly environmentally place.

Earth Day 2025

The New Boston Chamber of Commerce, The City of New Boston and New Boston SIDC/EDC are all joining together to help our community get spruced up and a cleaner image. We all see trash, overgrown lawns, debris when we drive through our New Boston neighborhoods and even downtown. Here's a chance to grow some community spirit and make this a memorable day for New Boston.

We're all meeting at the Pavilion at Trail Head Park at 10 am on Tuesday, April 22. Have a idea on an area that needs help? Would your business or organization like to be involved? Send an email to our Chamber President -   Click here to email us

We are off to a great start planning our 1st Earth Day community event! The role of the Chamber has been graphics, promotion and organization. We will also have board members volunteering the day of the event. The City has committed to providing a crew for the event day and advising on specific projects. SIDC/CDC is working on getting more color downtown and helping with recruiting organizations as well as getting the word out. The Bowie County Citizens Tribune has been very generous to promote and feature an article to help spread the word.

Rock Solid Resource Center and The Miracle Legends have committed to having volunteers present. Artex Printing is working on large maps with color coded zones so that we can stay organized while sending volunteers out the day of the event. New Boston ISD is looking at ways to get students involved. East Texas Disposal is doing a special for New Boston Residents that day on curbside pickup.

The key focal areas for the project are downtown, the sidewalk from downtown to the park, the walking trail, and the overpass from Hwy 82 to Hwy 8. Things we hope to accomplish this year are weeding, gardening, trash pickup, limb pickup, touch up painting and disposal of worn items. We are encouraging neighborhoods to get involved through gardening, mowing, trash and limb pickup.

Please do not trespass on private property.

From the Chamber side of this we are hopeful that adding curb appeal will draw more people to shop in New Boston. We have a lot to offer here and want our businesses to thrive. We would love to have even more organizations, businesses and individuals involved. Reach out to us if you would like to be a part of this wonderful day for our community!
